Attendance policy
*There will be a physical copy of this attendance policy that the parent/guardian of the dancer will need to sign on the first day of class.
Consistent weekly attendance in class is expected. If the student will miss a week please inform the instructor before the class period. Dancers are allowed no more than 3 absences per semester. Any more and you may be removed from choreography you have missed.
Please note, March and April classes are vital as these are the final rehearsals before Spring Showcase. Dress Rehearsals the week of the recital are Mandatory.
Dancers are required to arrive 15 minutes prior to class. This allows time for dancers to be ready to start class at the given class time and not start late.
Missed Class Choreography
8 & Up Dancers: Please check the class Dropbox for new choreography videos for your students to review their dance and learn any new choreography. We will review in class but it is best if they have a basic knowledge of the choreography before coming to class.
All Teen & Adult Dancers: If you miss class you are responsible for learning any missed choreography. Talk to classmates and check the class Dropbox for new videos. I will answer any clarification questions in class. Do not wait until your class period to inform your teacher that you cannot locate the video.
Semester Policy
You have registered your child for a reserved spot in our classes. Your child’s spot will be held in that class until you provide us with a written cancellation notice. Your notice must be received by 1 week prior to the start of the semester in order to cancel for the following semester. In your registration, you have agreed to pay for all classes your child is enrolled in through the end of the semester that we receive your written cancellation notice. Please note that there are no refunds for missed classes.
Restroom Policy
4-7 year olds: Students are encouraged to use the restroom before class. A dual accountability system is used combining a volunteer Parent Potty Patrol (parents of students) and student teacher. Parent Potty Patrol Volunteer is stationed in the hallway and Student Teacher walks the student to the restroom in the hall. The student teacher remains in the hallway where they can be seen by the Parent Potty Patrol Volunteer at all times. Both the Parent Potty Patrol Volunteer and student teacher can be seen by Isabella Kearney through the window at Casa Azafran. All Parents are required to sign up for at least one day of Potty Patrol.
8 & up dancers: Students are encouraged to use the restroom before class. During class, Student teacher walks the child to the restroom in the hall. Student teacher can be seen by Isabella through the window at Casa Azafran.
Teen Dancers: Students are encouraged to use the restroom before class. Studio B at Global Education Center has 2 private restrooms for studio use only. No public access.
If parents are on the premises you will be asked to take your child to the restroom during classes should the need arises
Studio/Location Policy
We are graciously hosted in The Global Education’s space both on Thursday and Saturday. Please be mindful to keep these spaces in their best conditions possible. Since we are guests in their space, we need to keep to our designated areas of the building. See below how this might affect you in what location you dance in. Also, do not hesitate to kindly remind others to upkeep the space and stay in designated areas! Thank you!
Charlotte Ave. Locaction (Thursday) – The lobby space, two restrooms, and Studio B space.
Caza Azafran Location (Saturday) – The Studio space, Men and Women’s restroom and the Hallway space directly outside the studio. (Going down the hall past the bathrooms is not necessary and not our space to roam.)
